InMusic recently announced a round of layoffs at the company and has reduced staff. It was much easier to use for the novice DJ and helped the PRO DJ get the mix done far quicker than any other tool out there. And, MixMeister was just for DJ mixes and nothing else. When you import a song into Ableton, you have to constantly manage the mix volume from the outset. It also had the ability to manage the volume between songs in the sense that it created the blend for you and you could adjust it to your liking. I have used Ableton to craft DJ mixes but the biggest advantage of MixMeister in this regard was the ability to "snap" tracks together on the beat and quickly expand or contract the measures you want to include. Some people here suggest that Ableton is better than MixMeister. The problem with that is your music library is already on your other machine, so you have to pull your songs out of your current library and move them over to your other PC or Mac to utilize them in the mix. It's probably best to buy a used PC from someone you know or grab one off Facebook Marketplace to run your old version.
